Dr. Carolyn Johnson-Allman - Veterinarian
Dr. Carolyn Johnson-Allman Veterinarian at Powhatan Animal Hospital.
Dr. Allman graduated from Oklahoma State University with a bachelor's degree in Biomedicine and received a Doctorate of Veterinary Medicine in 1993. Originally from Tulsa Oklahoma but has called Virginia home since 1996. Dr. Allman joined Southern Veterinary Partners in October of 2021. She is currently practicing small animal medicine and surgery at Powhatan Animal Hospital.
Dr. Allman strives to always elevate our patient care by educating pet owners on the importance of quality medical care for their pets. She believes that pets are living longer these days due to preventive care, regular dental cleaning, and early diagnoses of hidden diseases.
Dr. Allman understands the bond we all have with our companion animals because she and her son Jacob have three furry family members, Bugsy a 12-year-old border collie mix, Shorty an 11 yr old Yorkshire Terrier, and Cardi C, a domestic shorthair cat. Shorty loves riding ATVs and bass fishing and is quite at home on the hull of a kayak. Dr. Allman is an original member of Central Virginia Kayak Bass Anglers and loves tournament bass fishing and spending time with her son Jacob.
